Ella Fitzgerald - who I turn to when I'm learning a new piece. I can always count on her to teach me a phrase. I have spent countless hours listening to this lady of song and if I could interview one person today, it would be her.
Marilyn Chalmers - my aunt Marilyn formed my earliest memories of music. A vocalist herself, I treasure the influence she had on me at such an early age. When I'm struggling with a piece, I can always reach out to her for guidance, for which I'm grateful.
The Gershwin brothers - this songwriting powerhouse has written some of the most beloved tunes and have transformed the way I approach melody and lyric. Their compositions make singing fun and their tunes have always been among my top song choices!
